- Develop & maintain strong, solid working relationships with external customers and business partners (Veterinarians, Poultry, Cattle & Aqua Consultants, Farm Owners, Rural Village Practitioners, Wholesaler, Consignment Stockiest, Retailers, Key Accounts, and Key Opinion Leader etc.)
- Consistently initiates sharing of best practices/innovative ideas with line manager and team mates.
Responsibilities & Context
Primary Function
A Business Development Officer is a professional responsible for territory’s planning, developing, and executing promotional strategies to increase the sales of a company’s products or services. The role typically involves coordinating various marketing campaigns, events, and activities designed to boost customer engagement and drive revenue and position GreenHill Pharmaceuticals products for long-time sustainable growth. This can include both traditional and digital promotions, offering incentives to customers, and ensuring that promotional campaigns align with the company’s overall sales and marketing goals.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Grow sales at or above agreed targets.
- Influence cash business.
- Receivables collection on proposed period.
- Effectively cover entire territory as per marketing plans and optimal territorial layout planning. A sales promotion officer helps business create and execute promotions that drive sales and create new customers while fostering loyalty from existing ones.
- Develop skills to manage forecasts, Profit Plan, expenses and promotional budgets and track expenses to control costs and operate within targeted goals. Identify influential factors in the territory.
- Develop an understanding of customer needs, market trends by expanding basic product knowledge to enhance services and assist trade channel partners in growing their business. Develop and conduct meetings and training sessions, seminars and other value-added services. Working closely with sales, marketing and product development teams to ensure promotional strategies are aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of company products, competition and markets.
- Complete call reports, expense reports, monthly reports, sales forecasts, sales statements and other reports as required. Provide competitive information on a routine basis.
- Maintain and protect company property and assets to a high standard.
- Always perform all duties within the context of GHP’s Values and Behaviors.
