Responsibilities & Context

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project’ funded by UNHCR, located at Bashanchar, Noakhali.

  • Case Management Supervisor will take a proactive role to implement the Case Management interventions to the child survivors and children at-risk of Neglect, Abuse, Exploitation and Violence and the child for whom BIP will be initiated She/he will build and maintain a strong communication with CBCPC as well as other committees, Community Leaders, Maji and Sub- Maji, other humanitarian actors/ agencies working with Case management and also with government authorities to ensure a quality case management support/ service to the entire community.
  • Conduct initial (rapid) assessment for CP cases and prioritize them accordingly to the risk level through Case Management Officer.
  • She/ He will provide hands on and technical supports to his/her respective Case Management Officer and Case Management Volunteers to develop an individual action plan for each child that response to need addressed in initial and comprehensive assessment. She/he will ensure the physical verification of children at risk and the confidentiality and the guiding principles of Case Management. She/he will regularly follow up the assigned cases to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed timeframes with reviewing the regular progress with extensive field visits.
  • She/he will report immediately identified any severe or special case to the Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator and ensure appropriate supports/ services.
  • She/he will monitor and provide appropriate support to the identified vulnerable children and families through regular home visits, providing guidance, advice and emotional and psychosocial supports and referrals in timely manner.
  • She/he will manage cases in line with CSP, SOPs, CPMS, Inter-agency Case Management Guideline and other related guidelines.
  • Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protection protocols and confidentiality principal.
  • Assist Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator /Child Protection Specialist/ Information Management Specialist in all capacity building training and reporting.
  • Identify the needs and gaps in field level activate to enhance the case management service.
  • He/she will be responsible to implement quality child protection case management through quality supervision to the Case Management Officer and maintain proper documentation on it. He/she will provide outstanding support to the multi-sectoral issue and assessment.
  • Reporting & Documentation: She/ He will collect and verify monthly case management report from the case worker.
  • Develop and submit monthly report to Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator with the collaboration of Case Management Officer Submit monthly work plan and accomplishment report to Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator.
  • Ensure the work plan, analyses the accomplishment report and provide required feedback to Case Management Officer. She/ He will be responsible to supervise in case documentation both the CPIMS+ and case file. She/ He will assist Centre Manager for preparing monthly salary verification report of staffs and volunteer.
  • Coordination & Representation: Attend camp based coordination meeting and represent the CODEC activities. Organized bi-weekly meeting with CP & CM staffs at MPC in collaboration with Centre Manager.
  • Maintain good communication with Govt. personnel and other working partner of camp. Agree to comply with CODEC Code of Conduct, Child Safe-guarding standards and other policies are upheld.
  • She/he will adhere to and ensure the team under the responsibilities follows CODEC’s administrative and logistical regulation and procedures.
  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
