  • Degree (Pass)/Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 2 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 35 years
  • At least 2 years of experience in case management or providing direct support to GBV survivors, psychosocial support and counseling.
  • Knowledge of child protection and gender-based violence issues in Bangladesh.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and they need to be ‘child-friendly’.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Should have skills of report writing in English & Bangla
  • Should have sound knowledge in IT operation.
  • Computer skills on Microsoft Office Package.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

  • Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) is going to recruit the following positions for the project of ” Empowering girls and combating child marriages in Kurigram, Bangladesh under Women Initiatives for Community Development (W4CD)” Project at Kurigram District supported by ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB)

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Case Management:

  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized care plans for survivors.
  • Provide psychosocial first aid, counseling, and ongoing emotional support to survivors.
  • Facilitate access to health, legal, educational, and economic services through referrals and coordination with service providers.

 

Community Outreach:

  • Conduct outreach sessions to identify survivors of child marriage and GBV and raise awareness about available support services.
  • Work closely with community leaders, parents, and guardians to promote understanding and prevention of child marriage.

 

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed and confidential case files for each survivor, documenting all interactions and services provided.
  • Prepare regular reports on case management activities and outcomes for the Programme Officer.

 

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in case management, psychosocial support, and GBV prevention.
  • Provide training and support to community-based protection groups and networks.
