Mandatory Requirements:

  • Having experience working on Child Protection in a Refugee Context.
  • Having experience in managerial role.
  • Knowledge of local language will be preferred Must have experience in the related field
  • Strong in English and capable to write quality report in English will be necessary
  • Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
  • Team building, Supportive supervision and motivation skill.
  • Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting.
  • Computer (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc ) knowledge
  • Strong report writing skills both Bangla and English

Responsibilities & Context

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for position of Centre Manager from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project’ funded by UNHCR, located at Cox’s Bazar District.

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Oversee the all activates of MPC and Adolescent club are in place.
  • Provide all logistic and other support in Multi-Purpose Centre (MPC) and Adolescent club (AdC).
  • Ensure quality work environment by maintaining code of conduct and child protection policy in MPC
  • Provide all required data to Child Protection Specialist with detailed information regarding activates in a monthly basis (beneficiary’s attendance with breakdown by gender and age, activates carried out, issues affecting program delivery, material requisition)
  • Submit monthly work plan and accomplishment report to Child Protection Specialist.
  • Ensure the work plan, analyses the accomplishment report and provide required feedback to PSS Officer & Outreach Officer.
  • Conduct need based meeting with Community Based Child Protection Committee (CBCPC), Community Groups, Adolescent Forum, Peer Group and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct training Need assessment (TNA) to determine occupational skill training for adolescent girls and boys.
  • Assist Child Protection Specialist to ensure all logistic support (toys and books for library, charts, audio and visual material etc.) for MPC and AdC.
  • Assist Child Protection Specialist/ Child Protection- Case Management Coordinator/ Information Management Specialist in all reporting, analysis and capacity building training.
  • Assist and supervise Outreach Officer for all field level activates.
  • Assist and supervise corner based activates of MPC.
  • Identify the needs and gaps in field level activates to enhance the protection activity.
  • Ensure Child Protection Policy and minimum standards in all program intervention at MPC.

    Reporting & Documentation

  • Ensure all meeting minutes/training resolution/reporting with indicator wise activities.
  • All document of MPC and AdC need to be safely documented and maintain confidentiality.
  • Equipment of MPC and AdC need to be properly documented and submit monthly stock report and inventory to the store officer.
  • Submit monthly report to CP Specialist with the collaboration of PSS Officer & Outreach Officer.
  • Prepare and submit monthly salary verification report to the project office with the collaboration of Case manager.

    Coordination& communication

  • Attend camp based coordination meeting.
  • Organized weekly meeting CP & CM staffs at MPC.

    Safegurding and PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
