Requirements

Education

• The ideal candidate is to have B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a reputed national or foreign university.
• Candidate with Masters Degree with relevant field will set preference·
• No third division /class will be considered for interview.

Additional Requirements

• Experience in supervising in construction management of large size high-rise multi storied building and structural & finishing works with the proof of successful handover.
• Experience in handling project with special focus on sustainable development by recycling and reusing the available resources of organization.
• Must be Computer literate

Responsibilities & Context

Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital (BBMH) – USTC is Looking for a chief Engineer for their on-going project.

Responsibilities:

• Will be in charge of entire Engineering Department and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all aspects of engineering activities in the institution.
• Works with the design team to develop safe, efficient, and effective projects that will fall within the budget.
• Evaluates all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
• Negotiates contracts with vendors and clients to ensure the most cost effective means of reaching the customer’s needs.
• Approves plans and budgets for each project and makes any adjustments needed.
• Coordinates the engineering team, assigning short and long term goals for successful completion of the project’s plans.
• Ensures safety of the worksite during the course of development.
• Reviews safety standards for the finished product.
• Makes sure all projects and undertakings stay on budget and within the projected time schedule.
• Manages the engineering team and oversees training of new employees.
• Allocates resources effectively including personnel, materials, and time.
• Drafts reports and data analysis for review by the company’s board of executives
• Will be responsible for assessing product, services and suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• Will be responsible for inspecting the existing facilities periodically to determine problem and necessary maintenance
• Will be responsible for preparing weekly maintenance schedule and allocate work.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Will be responsible for ensuring environmental safety in each stage of the project’s life cycle.
• The appointee will also perform any task assigned by the competent authority.
