Requirements

Education

  • Master of Law (LLM), Bachelor of Law (LLB), Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, Masters

CA/CMA/CPA Certified will get preference.

Experience

Besides experience as Chief Finance Officer also the candidate should have experience as company secretary at least for 3-5years.

Responsibilities & Context

The Christian Cooperative Credit Union Limited, Dhaka is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Chief Financial Officer for its sister concern Divine Mercy Hospital Ltd who will be also responsible to play the role of Company Secretary.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Lead the role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing hospital operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports and operating procedures.

Direct the preparation of internal financial reports including work papers for annual financial audit.

Administer the general accounting, patient business services, including third-party reimbursement, financial, and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Analyze financial statements to foresee trends of financial performance and advice course correction.

Ensure direction and submission of all financial data associated reports on a timely basis as required by government and other regulated agencies including payroll tax reports, public disclosure reports and third-party payer cost reports.

Oversee and validate appropriate calculation & on time submission of Tax, VAT & regulatory charges and ensure statutory reporting are done on time.

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospital.

Assist the CEO in the development of long and short-range hospital operations plans that may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.

Develop long and short-range operational and capital budgets, which are supported by the hospitals long and short range plans and objectives.

Assists managers in the development of departmental budgets.

Define overhead cost allocation and repatriation guidelines.

Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all management reporting.

Prepare capital budget for the year and review with CEO and BOD own and ensure budgets are met in revenues and expenses on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Prepare cash flow analyses and budget variance analyses.

Prepare financial forecasts and cash flow projections.

Responsible for financial reporting to the appropriate institutions.

Monitor, interpret and analyze hospital financial performance in realizing established plans and objectives of the hospital.

Identify and report undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and make recommendations for action.

Provide formal or informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management and medical records functions.

Train subordinates on the above areas and monitor performances to ensure fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled.

Analyze business risks and devise strategies with key stakeholders in managing those risks.

Advising on long-term business and financial planning.

Take responsibility for the administration of the company, for example: maintaining statutory books, including registers of members, directors, and secretaries, and shareholders with all their past and present shareholdings, prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees, and annual general meetings (AGMs), preparing agendas and taking minutes and follow up on action points.

Ensure & monitor changes in policies, regulatory or statutory that might affect the organization are up to date and approved by the committee.

Handle correspondence, collate information, write reports and communicate decisions to relevant company stakeholders.

Liaise with external regulators and advisers such as lawyers and auditors.

Take an active role and provide valuable input to the management decisions related to sharing issues, mergers, and takeovers.

Manage the office space and deal with personnel administration and company/staff insurance policies.
