Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
Bangladesh Police Kallyan Trust is searching for an experienced chief financial officer (CFO) to join BPKT team of high-performing professionals and keep BPKT’s financial grows up as well as to develop and to implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications and workflows.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist MD/ Directors/Senior manager/accountant in financial reporting and analysis;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & yearly financial statements and present auditor’s report;
- Provide overall guidance and oversight to financial Management of the BPKT;
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of the Finance and accounting team;
- Coordinate with Managing Director/ senior manager/accountant for financial management, reporting and decision making;
- Facilitate yearly budgets in coordination with the Head of Finance & Accounts of the Organization;
- Perform data analysis and prepare decision support reports for top management;
- Identify areas of inefficiency, areas of potential cost reduction and take necessary initiatives to improve Industries/Companies Performance Evaluation and efficiency analysis;
- Oversee the budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow and coordination of audit activities;
- Work for process automation with implementation teams;
- Ensure the company’s system & process driven and standardize SOP
- Develop and update financial policies, procedures and guidelines for the group;
- Take care of proper maintenance of fiscal compliances;
- Establish & maintain sufficient internal controls to safeguard Trust’s assets;
- Review & recommend financial viability of the projects proposals;
- Conduct regular Board Meetings, prepare minutes & get decisions approved;
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fund raising initiatives
- Keep Compliance with national legislation/act and take appropriate action
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for senior management team
- Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Monitor financial planning, budget to obtain the highest service advantage with a minimum cost impact.
