Masters in BAR at-Law or PhD will be preferred
Enrollment as an advocate with the Bangladesh Bar Council.
Having no 3rd division is allowed

Banks

Additional Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in legal practice along with minimum 05 years in any Banks or Financial Institutions, preferably in banking, financial institutions, or corporate legal affairs.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior legal leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of banking laws, loan recovery processes, and regulatory compliance.

To further strengthen our legal operations, we are looking for a highly experienced and competent professional to join as Chief Law Officer (CLO) under the Law and Recovery Division. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong legal acumen and leadership skills to contribute to the bank’s legal excellence.

Rank: Senior Vice President (SVP) / Vice President (VP) (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic legal guidance to the bank’s management, ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and other relevant laws.
Oversee legal affairs, including litigation, contract management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
Manage and coordinate with external legal counsels and law firms for legal proceedings.
Lead and supervise the legal team, ensuring effective risk mitigation strategies.
Formulate policies for handling default cases, loan recoveries, and other legal matters.
Represent the bank in legal forums, arbitration proceedings, and negotiations.
Ensure the legal rights and interests of the bank are well protected.
