  • Introduced a method of mechanical handling that the company to move forward on a new product range with trouble free production.
  • Responsible for all management aspects of a modern dye house
  • A major warp knitting and dyeing operation producing high end automotive and fashion
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of managing a dye house laboratory
  • Introduced concept of blending dyes of different light fastness characteristics to give tone on tone fade in stringent testing to automotive standards

Responsibilities & Context

  • Professional coloration manager experienced in all aspects of the coloration and textile industry. The Chartered Colorist qualification is one of the highest in our industry.
  • Industry professional committed to initiatives to promote sustainability, ZDHC – MRSL, and lean manufacturing processes
  •  Specialist in the field of stretch and performance fabrics for activewear
  • Adept in operating in multicultural environments.
  • Rolling out ZDHC and BLUESIGN initiatives.
  • Controlling and reporting on all costs associated with the manufacturing process.
  • Achieved significant and measurable improvements in sustainability particularly in the areas of water, energy usage and dye cycle efficiency. Figures can be supplied if needed.
  • Preparing and presenting technical lectures
  • Engineering new products for cost or technical advantage
  • Advising on sustainability and environmental issues
  • Training and managing colorReduced core fabric costs by 14% points and fabric teams in quality, compliance and sustainability
  • Finding solutions to technical issues in fabric and garment form as and when they arise.
  • Engineering new product with PD and design to fit price point.
  • Auditing mills for compliance to HIGG and ZDHC MSRL
  • Established digital color communication for solids prints and trims.
  • Sourcing and evaluating new mills to give better price value relationships, innovation, quality and delivery
  • Establishing the team to ensure accurate and effective communication on delivery status between China and off-shore manufacturing units.
  • Established our print product in three top selling items with a key retailer
  • Developed and marketed active wear products for the UK market
  • Responsible for all management aspects of a modern dye house including Lean and Oketex compliance
  • Mentoring a task force to target RFT and production efficiency
