Responsibilities & Context

  • Deliver prompt, relevant, customer driven, market based cost-effective and efficient technology and operations solutions that are robust and integrative to meet the business needs and promote use high standard wherever possible.
  • Lead and direct the organization, setting strategy jointly with the CEO and Board of Directors, taking into account company’s initiatives in place or being rolled out. By establishing a robust IT solution which works closely with business entities and operational units that delivers high quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Improve underwriting and claim service delivery and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement technology initiatives to support Shanta Life Insurance Limited’s initiatives and profitability goals.
  • Ensure Business Continuity plans are current and tested frequently.
  • Enhance  the  overall  skill  levels and motivation of  the business support  and operations  staff at all levels.
  • Manage the property portfolio of the company in Bangladesh in such a way to maximize the value of the company derives from its premises, whether rented or owned and improve efficient service delivery.
  • Manage systems deployment and operational processing, ensuring policy service level expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Manage the development, administration and implementation of IT programs, policies and procedures in the company.
  • To maintain staff complement at the optimum level balancing cost, efficiency, service and skill requirement. Through effective talent management, identify future leaders, their training/development needs and career path to improve caliber and opportunities for deployment and succession.
