Responsibilities & Context

Chief Security Officer is responsible to protect and safeguard all hotel and waterpark guests, employees, their belongings and all hotel and water park assets. Also ensuring that all hotel and water park properties are adequately secured at all times. Responsible for preparing daily incident reports, requisitions and other inter office memos and ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded.

  • Devise policies and procedures regarding areas such as business continuity planning, loss prevention and fraud prevention, and privacy.·
  • Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the company, including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups.
  • Identify security initiatives and standards.
  • Oversee network of vendors and directors who secure the company’s assets.
  • Oversee safeguarding of intellectual property and computer systems.
  • Develop procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors.
  • Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures.·
  • Ensure security is maintained and updated.·
  • Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programs.
  • Develops and maintains a monthly checklist for all CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and panic alarms to ensure that they are fully functional.
  • Prioritize security initiatives & Conduct regular mock fire evacuation drill as per the hotels emergencies standards·
  • Develop network access and monitoring policies.
  • Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
  • Develop emergency procedures and incident responses.
  • Investigate security breaches.
  • Implement disciplinary procedures.
  • Conduct audits to find holes in security platform.
  • Develop risk management assessments.
  • Create global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.
  • Interview, select, review and train new security officers according to hotels standards to maintain order throughout the hotel.
  • Be available 24 hours a day for genuine emergencies within the property.
  • In behalf of the MD contact local authorities in order to follow laws, rules and regulations and to ensure the issuance of mandatory documents and maintain an adequate level of public relations with them (as Public Relation Officer)
