PSEA & Child Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Having working experience in Child Protection & Case Management in a Rohingya camp context.
- Having experience in BlP-(BIA & BID).
- Knowledge on QAF tools of case management for conducting qualityful case management.
- Having experience in issue-based analytical reporting.
- Able to speak and understandting Rohingya/Chittagonian Language.
- Having experience in people management and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities & Context
Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of ‘‘Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator’’ from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project’’ funded by UNHCR, located at Cox’s Bazar.
- In close collaboration with the Project Coordinator, CPCMC will play a lead role in developing a Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) foreachyearandupdateit quarterly.
- CPCMC will take a proactive role in supporting the design and technical delivery of Case Management interventions to the child survivors and children atrisk of Neglect, Abuse, Exploitation and Violence.
- CPCMC will be responsible for the BIP of the Case management.
- CPCMC will review the report of BIA and BID.
- CPCMC will be responsible for assuring the quality of the case management by following QAF tools.
- CPCMC will build and maintain strong communication with the respective sector as well as other humanitarian agencies working with Case management and also with government authorities.
- Assist in conducting initial (rapid) assessments for CP cases and prioritize them according to the risk level through the Case Management Officer and Case Manager and ensure the case management process of each case.
- CPCMC will supervise to provide outstanding support in UNHCR assessment cases and BID cases.
- Technical guidance to the Case Manager and Case Management Officer to develop an individual action plan for each child that responds to needs addressed in initial and comprehensive assessments and seeks the support of the Case Management.
- Assist provides necessary psycho social and emotional support to the victims of violence, and children in crisis to boost up their confidence and develop resilience in challenges.
- Regularly follow upon the assign case to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed time frames. Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
- Assist in updating the profile of children and case management file at the centre and make a follow-up of referral cases.
- Responsible to arrange case conferences for complex carsandensure children receive multidisciplinary support.
- Manage cases in line with CSP, SOPs, CPMS, Inter-agency Case Management Guidelines and other related guidelines.
- Ensure confidentiality and the guiding principles of Case Management.
- Manage/Support any severe or special cases identified by the project Case Management Team and report to the higher management as well as donor agency.
- Submit monthly work plan and accomplishment report to the Project Coordinator.
- Ensure the work plan, analyze the accomplishment report and provide required feedback to the Case Manager.
- Ensure all logistic support to the case management team.
Monitoring & Supervision:
- CPCMC will closely supervise the Case Management team with an effective team-building strategy.
- CPCMC will monitor and evaluate the regular activities of Case Managers, Case Management Officers and Case Management Volunteers.
- CPCMC will monitor and provide appropriate support to the identified vulnerable children and families through a regular home visit, providing guidance, advice and emotional and psycho social support and referrals on time.
- CPCMC will be responsible for supervising in case of documentation both in the CPIMS+ and the case file.
- Assist IMS in ensuring quality data according to child profile both in the CPIMS+ and hard documentation.
- CPCMC will regularly update to Project Coordinator about the camp child protection situation based on data analysis and case management service providing information.
- Extensive field visits on Case Management activate close monitoring, minimum 3 days a week and provide hands-on support to the CM staff.
- Submit weekly progress report/field visit report to the project coordinator
Reporting & Documentation:
- Assist Project Coordinator for qualitative reporting (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly/ Event Report) to the Donor and 5W report to the sub-sector.
- Submit Monthly Staff position to Project Coordinator.
- CPCMC will develop monthly case reports compiled from the reports provided by Case Managers.
- Responsible for preparing the issue-based analytical reporting.
- Capacity Development & training Conduction:
- Identify training needs and develop a yearly training plan.
- Capacity-building training conducted for CP staff and case management volunteers.
- Support Project Coordinator in identifying, designing, and facilitating training on Case Management.
- Conduct camp-based capacity-building training with community people, CBCPC, Community leaders and stakeholders on Case Management.
- She/ He will develop different schedules, modules and guidelines according to the project needs.
Coordination & representation:
- Adhere to and ensure the team under her/his responsibility follows CODEC administrative and logistic regulations and procedures.
- Attend all coordination meetings and share meeting results/findings with the management. Ensure effective coordination through attending all meetings, workshops, training and forums atthe sectorlevel such as CP-GVB, CP-Other Sector, CMTWG, PSEA, etc and represent the organization and update the Project Coordinator about the new decision
- Maintain good communication with the UNHCR field team and Stakeholders to adhere the child protection concerns.
- Undertake all other duties that may be determined by the organization and that are compatible with the job.
- Arranged monthly coordination meetings with the whole CP staff with the collaboration of the Project Coordinator.
- Attend a weekly meeting with the Prevention and response.
