Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary: The Frozen Food and Cold Store & Shipment Officer will be responsible for managing the frozen food inventory, ensuring proper storage conditions, and overseeing the shipment process to ensure the timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have experience in cold storage management, logistics, and inventory control.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the cold storage facility.
  • Ensure that all frozen food products are stored at the correct temperature and humidity levels.
  • Monitor and record temperature and humidity readings regularly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all frozen food products.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records.
  • Manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule and manage shipments.
  • Prepare shipment documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Ensure all shipments meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Handle any discrepancies or issues related to product quality or shipment delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in the cold storage facility.
  • Train staff on proper handling and storage procedures for frozen food products.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide regular updates to management on inventory levels, shipment status, and any issues.
  • Identify areas for improvement in storage and shipment processes.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
