• Bachelor/Honors

Additional Requirements

• 0–1 year of experience in communication, digital content creation, or social media management. Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and content planning. Familiarity with taking photos, recording videos/reels on a phone.
• Ability to edit photos and videos on smartphones.
• Knowledge of working with Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, etc., will be a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams in development of media contents.
• A knack for storytelling or an eagerness to develop storytelling skills.
• Interest in social change and development communication.
• Comfortable in conducting interviews using Zoom/Skype/Google Meet.

Responsibilities & Context

Purpose of the Role:

IID is looking for a Communication Executive to manage its social media platforms and support content creation. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to build experience in digital communication, storytelling, and social impact. You’ll collaborate with creative, research, and program teams to develop content plans, post regularly, and engage with IID’s online community.

Note:

• The position includes a three-month probation period, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
• The selected candidate may be required to travel outside Dhaka occasionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

• Plan, create, and schedule content across IID’s social media platforms in both Bangla and English.
• Collaborate with creative, research, and program teams to develop social media content ideas and maintain a regular posting schedule.
• Respond to comments and messages to foster community engagement.

Content Creation

• Capture photos and short videos (e.g., reels, stories) during events or field activities.
• Edit photos and videos for social media use.
• Assist in developing creative storytelling content that highlights IID’s work and impact.

Website Support

• Assist in updating IID’s website with new content and announcements — training will be provided if needed.

Collaboration and Learning

• Work closely with the creative team to ensure content aligns with IID’s branding and messaging.
• Support program teams in communicating project activities and outcomes through digital platforms.
• Stay curious and keep up with trends in digital storytelling and social media to bring fresh ideas to the team.
