Responsibilities & Context
Faith in Action is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) that operates in over 10 districts in Bangladesh. Our primary focus is on climate change and integrated, sustainable, and transformative community development. We specifically target the most vulnerable communities, including climate victims, trafficking survivors, women at risk of trafficking, children, adolescents, youth, and persons with disabilities. We recently received a five-year project in Gabura Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira district. The project aims to enhance food security and promote sustainable livelihoods for a climate-resilient community (CRC) to promote food security and sustainable livelihood. To achieve our project goals and objectives, Faith in Action is seeking four Community Facilitators. The position is subject to the following terms and conditions.
Location: Gabura Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira District
Probation Period: As per organizational policy
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for forming community groups according to the project criteria, educating them on the Self-help Approach and Climate Resilience Community building, building their capacity, and providing training on food security and sustainable livelihoods.
- Select intervention-wise training participants, provide them with training and inputs, and guide them to achieve the project goal and objectives.
- Implement each of the project activities and provide reports accordingly.
- Ensure effective collaboration and networking with the local stakeholders
- Seek market opportunities and connect producers with markets.
- Oversee, motivate, and guide the PG, MLC, and PI to transformational community development.
