Responsibilities & Context
Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF) is a national voluntary social welfare organization. JCF is implementing BD Beef and Goat Value Chain Signature Program (BD- 16) in Natore supported by HEIFER International.
- To ensure the quality implementation of the project, JCF intends to recruit project staff from qualified candidates of Bangladeshi nationals.
- Assist to develop the capacity of the cooperative management committee in leadership skills, financial management, business management, conflict management and negotiation skills, planning, staffing, organizing, monitoring, etc.
- Assist in preparing annual and strategic plans for the Cooperative and ensure execution.
- Facilitate increasing members at the cooperative level.
- Facilitate training and workshop with Cooperative and different stakeholders and ensure the quality of training.
- Reinforce the Heifer’s Cornerstones at Cooperative and facilitate periodic PSRP.
- Assist to conduct Cooperative Capacity Assessment and implement the action plan properly.
- Facilitate agro/non-agro based enterprises at HH level and Cooperative level.§ Assist to aggregate and marketing agricultural products of cooperatives.§ Maintain effective communication with market actors (buyer, seller, local traders, supper shop, private sectors, etc.) to the functional warehouse.
- Assist to explore business opportunities for cooperatives and increase the income of the Cooperative.
- Meet SHGs regularly, visit participants’ households, observe field activities critically, identify operational and programmatic constraints and ensure remedial options in a participatory manner with the consultation of the PC and Heifer program team.
- Organize animal health camp; ensure vaccination, de-worming, and other technical services timely for improving livestock management linking Community Agro Veterinary Entrepreneurs and DLS.
- Assist in developing and implementing bi-laws of cooperatives based on members’ opinions and area context complying with government rules and regulations.
- Ensure transparency in the cooperative day-to-day operation and inspire SHG members to involve in Cooperative activities.
- Assist the cooperative management committee to increase savings, budget preparation, and fund utilization properly
- Establish good communication and networking with Union Parishad, Upazila Govt. / Non- govt departments particularly Cooperative Office, Livestock Office, Women, and Child Affairs Office, and Agriculture Office to access services and resources for Cooperative.
- Ensure project implementation at the Cooperative and SHG level.
- Maintain necessary documentation of Cooperative including group records.
- Organize different meetings and workshops as per project requirements.
- Prepare necessary reports (Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly).
- Providing all sorts of backstopping support for the smooth operation of the Cooperative.
- Follow the organization’s Child Safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Gender, and WB Policy.
Compensation & Other Benefits
Tk. 22,050 per month, Consolidated and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy as well as the project.
