Job Context

  • Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) is going to recruit the following positions for the project of ” Empowering girls and combating child marriages in Kurigram, Bangladesh under Women Initiatives for Community Development (W4CD)” Project at Kurigram District supported by ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB

Job Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement:
  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, dialogue sessions, and awareness campaigns on the impacts of child marriage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, religious leaders, parents, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen community protection groups and networks to support the prevention of child marriage.
  • Capacity Building:
  • Provide training and support to adolescent clubs, self-help groups, and community-based protection groups.
  • Promote skill development and income-generating activities among adolescent girls at risk of child marriage.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Collect and report data on community engagement activities and their impact on reducing child marriage.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on community mobilization efforts to the Programme Officer.
  • Advocacy:
  • Advocate with local authorities and government representatives to increase their responsiveness to child marriage issues.
  • Participate in public events and campaigns to raise awareness about child marriage and promote gender equity.
