Responsibilities & Context
- Practicing preventative law, providing legal advice and assistance to management and internal departments.
- Represent and defend cases before the court on behalf of the company.
- Drafting various agreements, undertakings, board resolutions, Memorandum of Association, notices, replies to notices & regulatory letters, and MoUs.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in civil, criminal, corporate, and admiralty cases.
- Handle case analysis, legal research, and dispute resolution.
- Manage and support litigation and arbitration matters.
- Advise on company law, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Appearing in litigation and tribunal hearings on behalf of the company.
- Deal with any kind of hearing of the court about company business.
- Take initiative & legal action according to the management decision.
- Extensive experience in handling financial litigation before the Lower Courts and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
- Provide risk assessment in strategic decision-making on legal issues.
- Liaise with external lawyers, courts, and regulatory authorities.
- Proven experience in Civil and Criminal litigation and dispute resolution.
- Perform any other work as assigned by the top management.
