Requirements

Education

Bachelor/Master’s degree from any reputed university in Social Science, Political Science, Law, International Relations, or related fields.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 45 years
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in managing projects on labour migration, livelihoods, development, job creation, or skills recognition.
  • Proficiency in planning, problem-solving, decision-making, project proposal and report writing, budgeting, and project implementation.
  • Having knowledge and skills in Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks of development organizations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of development, migration, reintegration, and trafficking issues.
  • Excellent leadership quality.
  • Strong interpersonal management skills and team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Bangla.
  • High pro-activeness and ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency: i.e. MS Office, project-specific management information systems, etc.
  • Understanding of gender and diversity issues.

Responsibilities & Context

PROJECT: Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)

REPORTS TO: Executive Director or his nominated official

JOB CONTEXT:

Centre for Community Development Assistance (CCDA) is a leading nation level NGO engaged in socio-economic development since 1990 with the funding support from PKSF and other financial institutions. CCDA is implementing “Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)” project with the financial support of World Bank and PKSF since 2023. CCDA invites applications for the above mentioned vacant position.

The incumbent will report to the Executive Director or his nominated official of CCDA. S/he has to maintain functional relationships with project teams and the organization’s other priority teams. S/he must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (include, but are not limited to)

  • Oversee and manage the implementation of project plans, ensuring that activities are carried out according to the project timeline.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and local partners in the district.
  • Provide training and capacity-building programs for local community based organizations and community members involved in migration-related activities.
  • Contribute to project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation, and the development of fundraising strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports for project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about national and international laws and policies related to migration.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant legal and ethical standards.
