Requirements

Education

Masters preferably in relevant subject areas Social Sciences, Development Studies, specifically Sociology & Policy, Human Rights Economy or a related discipline.  Experience in the sector will also be considered highly.

Experience

3 to 5 years

Additional Requirements

Age 35 to 40 years

Experience: 

At least 3-5 years or more of sound experience in training.·        

Extensive hands on experience in implementing strategies and knowledge of training methodologies.·        

Extensive experience of working with NGOs and CSOs is preferred. Experience with Community based and/or volunteer organizations is an advantage.·        

Excellent knowledge of report writing & other documentations.·        

Good facilitation skills and knowledge and experience in participatory planning and TOF. 

Required Competencies:·        

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools for training·        

Language Skills:      

Fluency in English (Written & spoken)·        

Good team building capacity and decision making skills.·        

Good interpersonal communication and leadership skill within the organizational Desk management. 

Age limits: Age will be 35-40 years 

Technical Skills: ·        

Strong organizational and time management skills·        

Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking·         Non-smoker·        

Female applicants will get preference.·        

The candidates are able to drive motor bike with valid driving license to visit the field frequently and sometimes may stay at the field level.·

Relationships:·        

S/he will report to the Executive Director. S/he will work as a team member of the higher level management team.

Responsibilities & Context

 Job Summary:

Coordinator (Training) is responsible to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of an Environmentally sound Training Center management, find out training events, different projects/Program related learnings aligning with Training-Workshops & methodologies. S/he is responsible to manage, design, develop, coordinate and conducting for small & large scale training programs with the objectives of human resource development as the experienced educator, from the field level or from among the participants of PARALLELOGRAM followed by the Organization Building/Institution Building Skills & bye-laws, land rights, people centered Agrarian Reform Policy Advocacy mobilization and for materialization of the Climate resilience. Overall, to-do plans, implements and evaluates training for Staff, Partners or beneficiaries, focusing on Skill development for programs like livelihoods or humanitarian response, handling logistics, managing trainers, assigning needs, tracking outcomes and maintaining records, often bridging program goals & vision with practical learning for Community impact by self assessment.

Key responsibilities include (not limited to):

Planning:

Prepare Monthly, quarterly and yearly training plan

Training need assessment.

Facilitate planning process of staff & PO’s level.

Associate with the management all the time in terms of program & policy design, plan.  re-plan, implementation.

Prepare monitoring plan & follow-up the training.

 

Programming:

Ensure organizational vision, mission & values

Create & ensure gender friendly working environment within the organization

Training Curriculum development (Organization / Program / Project / Other NGO’s Level)

Organize training, workshop, meeting, seminar

Conduct & facilitate training, workshop, meeting, seminar

Develop & innovate Methodology / Technologies.

Provide program briefing, orientation to the visitors.

Providing resource person & consultancy services for other organization

Material development, collection & dissemination

Develop training calendar, curriculum, module, schedule, brochure.

 

Reporting, Documentation & Materialization:

Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual training report.

Prepare different training, meeting, seminar, workshop report.

Ensure & preserve report, documentations.

Identify & draft narration upon the policies issues both OD and public level.

Prepare video, case stories & learning materials.

·         Write up & present concept notes and proposals to donors and relevant stakeholders with the approval of the Executive Director.

 

Coaching, counselling and consultation

 

Idea gathering, sharing with all level of staff.

One to one coaching.

Information gathering & sharing with all level of staff.

Consult & share the ideas with ED/DD & management staff when necessary.

Counseling with staff & PO’s level.

 

Coordination & integration

 

·         Facilitate for Coordination with training team.

·         Coordination & cooperation with different level of staff as well as PO’s level including other stakeholders.

·         Coordination, liaison, networking, linkage building with GO, NGO & civil society.

·         Contact resource person from different organization.

·         Integration with other program & projects (Holistic).

·         Participate in POC, staff coordination meeting, annual meeting, planning meeting & along with others organizational activities.

·         Ensuring & attending the national anthem regularly for maintaining organizational values.

 

Monitoring, supervision & evaluation

 

Develop training monitoring tools

Field visit, follow up and assess training activities.

Evaluate training objectives, input, output & impact

Evaluate training course along with pre/post & ongoing evaluation.

Evaluate Staff performance during training.

 

Admin & financial activities

Approve leave, salary, bill-vouchers of the training staff.

Prepare budget, estimate of the training activities.

Facilitate over all responsibilities of the training center for good environment for learnings & productivity.

 

Especial assignment:

Perform special assignment of the Executive Director/Deputy Director

Perform other assignment or representation as requested by the top management.

Type of contract                : As full time core staff

Duration of Contract       : Year wise renewal

Compensation & Other Benefits

Salary and benefits  : Salary @BDT 35,000 for 6 months’ probation period. After successful completion of probation period, job and salary will be regularized with PF, Gratuity & others as per Organizational policy.
