Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
  • University Degree in Agriculture or related course from a recognized Higher Institution.

Experience

  • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Chemical Industries, Pest Control

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop a strategy to introduce the Company’s Agrochemical business line.
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit targets, objectives and budgets.
  • Planning, forecasting, and maintaining an optimum level of inventory.Plan and ensure availability of products in coordination with Supply Chain.
  • Develop short and long-term marketing plans within the earmarked marketing budgets.
  • Ensure the sales team conducts regular training and product demonstrations for farmers, or targeted stakeholders.
  • Sustaining sales target prospects, pipelines and orders in process sufficient to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales & gross profit target, objectives and budgets.
  • Maintain up to date competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
  • Managing the activities of field sales team.Creating a marketing program, expanding the company’s contacts with farms and farmers, government agencies and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry.
  • Deliver major sales growth through high volume target accounts.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other divisions to address key business issues and opportunities.
  • Monitors competition by gathering competitor information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.Build and grow the market share for Agrochemicals.
  • Implement and monitor the implementation of the company’s sales process to establish a culture of consultative pre and post selling activities.
  • Ensure, supervise and monitor compliance with product registration requirement, regulation and related matters.
  • Reaching out to prospects through calls or emails to assess their needs.
  • Nurturing the leads and understanding their issues inside out.
  • Conducting product demos and handling questions, rejections, objections.
  • Relationship management with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders to add value.
  • Negotiating and closing multiple sales deals to achieve high revenue.
