• Age at most 45 years

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in mental health counseling, drug treatment and rehabilitation treatment centers.
• Especially on in counseling or psychotherapy particularly drug users along with mental disorders patients.
• The candidate who has completed Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) training and ICAP will consider specifically.
• Special Training on CBT, Family Therapy, DBT will be given preference.
• Effective interpersonal communication skill.
• Operational decision making.
• Have to be stress tolerance.

Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health and WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 17 projects. “Ahsania Mission Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center” situated in Dhaka district, is one of the institutions of Health and WASH Sector, established on 04 May, 2004 has been providing quality drug detoxification and rehabilitation. The Center can accommodate 100 male clients at a time. DAM Health and WASH Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of “Counselor” of Ahsania Mission Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, Gazipur. It’s a Gazipur based position.

Job Responsibility:

• Proper assessment of the client.
• Provide day to day individual counseling.
• Provide Group Counseling.
• Provide Family Counseling.
• Manage crisis situations (if occur).
• Conduct Psycho social education sessions.
• Maintain Confidentiality of all clients’ data.
• Maintain close liaison with other relevant professionals like Psychiatrists, Case managers, Program staff etc.
• Record keeping and maintaining all kinds of forms/registers, reports, files, guidelines and other documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and other periodical reports as per the treatment center’s guidelines and requirements.
• Participate in different training, meetings, workshops, seminars, symposiums organized by the head office.
• Extended the necessary support to other team members as and when needed.
