Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, Social Work, or competencies equivalent to a combination of training and experience.

Experience

Additional Requirements

Experience Requirement:

  • 2 years previous experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government organizations in a multicultural setting is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct assistance/case management services, including victim identification, initial assessment, and care plans with the potential/victim of trafficking.
  • Provide referrals for VOTs with their consent and using the victim centered approach.
  • Provide ongoing, one-on-one, and general counselling to the VOTs.
  • Report trafficking cases and follow up action regularly to line manager.
  • Inform the supervisor of urgent and challenging cases.
  • Maintain screening form, case records and other related documents in hard and soft copy according to ethical and safety standards.
  • Support in data collection, compilation and input to IOM’s Global CT Data, Management, and operational System Application.
  • Maintain good coordination and communication with other protection sub-units, other internal units, IOM stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Maintain case files, upholding confidentiality, and IOM data protection policies.
  • Identify the needs of awareness among people affected by crisis, IOM staff and other stakeholders and contribute to organizing and conducting CT trainings and awareness raising session.
  • Providing weekly reports and inputs for the Unit reports
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform any other duties that the supervisor may assign.
  • Maintain and strengthen the relations with community groups, government authorities.
  • Develop good relationship with community key stakeholders
  • Working with Bangladeshi host community and Rohingya community
  • Frequent field visits
  • Monitoring Implementing Partner activities
  • Work on an emergency basis when necessary
  • Any other task relevant to the position.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Compensation & Benefits:

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 77,350.17.
