Additional Requirements
Age 25 to 50 years
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in U.S., Canadian, or other international engineering design and consulting firms.
Professional-level proficiency in BricsCAD and Revit for engineering drafting is preferred.
Working knowledge of relevant structural design codes and standards, including ACI, IBC, AISC, and NDS, will be favorably considered.
Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as Visual Analysis, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro is expected.
The candidate must possess strong fundamental knowledge of engineering mechanics, water resources engineering, and structural analysis.
Knowledge of structural design and detailing for wood, concrete, aluminum, and steel structures, including both hot-rolled and cold-formed steel, is preferred.
Sound knowledge of the repair, strengthening, and retrofitting of existing steel and concrete structures is preferred.
The candidate should be innovative, energetic, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to take responsibility and embrace new challenges.
The candidate should be able to work effectively in a result-oriented environment, meet project schedules and deadlines, and maintain a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a written test and a practical assessment involving structural design calculations and AutoCAD drafting, in accordance with the company’s recruitment and hiring procedures.
Responsibilities & Context
Structural design and drafting of wood, concrete, and steel structures for various residential and commercial buildings, swimming pools, and other miscellaneous structures, in accordance with project and company requirements.
Professional-level AutoCAD drafting skills are essential for this position. The candidate must be proficient in preparing structural drawings and completing drafting work in coordination with structural design calculations within the required project deadlines.
A basic understanding and analytical knowledge of different types of structures will be considered an added advantage for the efficient execution of project tasks and timely completion of projects.
Proficiency in SMath Studio for performing various types of structural design calculations will be considered an added advantage.
Experience in storm drainage design, along with a working knowledge of hydrologic analysis and topographic surveying, is highly desirable.
