Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: Carry out all the medical data entry related to Hep- C Test and Treat activities into the mission database, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality, in order to have reliable and up to date information.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enter medical data (e.g. patient data, dates of visit, content of prescription, viral load, etc.) in mission’s database on a regular basis and according to MSF protocols.
  • Participate in compilation of data both from MSF structures and from collaborating health facilities.
  • Participate in the search for missing data.
  • Update files of existing patients and make any corrections needed.Make regular back-ups of all data processed.
  • Look after all equipment provided and keep recording area clean and tidy, giving special importance to all patient files.
  • Report any issue concerning data management to superior.
  • Elaborate statistical reports when required by the medical team.
  • Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered.
  • Enter patients demographics, medical history and tests results in Hep- C database (BHAMNI).
  • Record treatment regimen and dosages.
  • Update databases with laboratory results (e.g. viral load, RDT, SVR12).
  • Prepare Hep- C data for studies, internal audits or program evaluation as requested by MSF.
  • Collaborate with the Hep- C medical team to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with the support from the Hep- C coordinator and Data supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure patient records at all times. No unauthorized personnel will have an access to patients data record.
  • Report issues directly to line manager.
  • Prepare data requested by the line manager for analysis.
