Responsibilities & Context

HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, focusing on creating sustainable changes to ensure the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster situations throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects that assist in promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, building capacities of local stakeholders, and reducing the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox’s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection, and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host populations affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI’s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps in Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas, providing comprehensive physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MHPSS services. HI is implementing a development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, and Cox’s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices (Dhaka and Cox Bazar).

Project/Specificity: GFFO Funded Project

Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education, and Atlas Logistics.

Number of staff: Around 364 National staff and 02 international staff HI is currently looking for 20 Data Enumerators for Integrated comprehensive Support to Persons with Disabilities and Vulnerable People while Strengthening the Inclusion Capacities of Humanitarian Actors” funded by GFFO project GFFO Funded Project.

Job Location: Ukhiya (Camp 4E,10, 1E and 05), Ramu and Chakaria & BhasancharType: Contractual (Daily Basis).

Preferred Starting Date: As soon as possible/ September 03,2024

Main Deliverables:

  • Conduct data collection at field level and mobile phone survey for HI (September 03, 2024 –September 30,2024) using mobile data collection apps. (Maximum 15 working days including training and reporting)·
  • All the required data will be collected through home visit of individual beneficiaries.
  • They have to arrange local transport by their own cost for field visit during training and data collection.
  • Data collection areas- Under Ukhia, Ramu and Chakaria upazilla.· Collect clear and good quality data as per expectation.

Details Activities:

  • Attend training (including field test) on data collection Collect necessary data using prescribed format (hard copy) or SurveyCTO through field visit.
  • Submit the collected data in hard copy to assigned HI staff or submit the HI server.
  • Participate in the learning session after data collection

Compensation & Other Benefits

Terms & Conditions from HI:

  • Data Enumerator receives BDT 1,000.00 (One Thousand BDT) per day as remuneration.
  • Data Enumerator has to work 8.00 hours (including 30 minitues for lunch/prayer hours) in a day (8.00 AM to 4.30 PM). As per HI policy
  • Data Enumerator can enjoy all the government declared holidays; but it will not count as working day.
  • HI will not provide the car support for Data Enumerators.
  • Data enumerator can’t share the HI beneficiary data with other actor or agency. He/she must follow the data protection policy.

Payment method and condition:

  • Payment is subjected to number of days’ work for Training and Data Collection
  • Payment will be done after completion of data collection as per requirement.
  • Payment will be done by cash
