Responsibilities & Context
1. Design, develop, and implement database solutions for both SQL Server environments.
2. Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
3. Ensure data integrity, performance, and security in database designs.
4. Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) data analysis and reporting solutions.
5. Design and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources into the databases.
6. Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and index rebuilding. Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
7. Configure and manage SQL Server clustering for high availability and failover support.
8. Implement and maintain SQL Server replication to ensure data consistency across multiple servers. Design, implement, and manage High Availability Groups for SQL Server databases.
9. Ensure the availability and reliability of database systems through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
