Responsibilities & Context
We are seeking a highly competent Database Administrator to join AkijBashir Group’s IT team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Group databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and data security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize database structures.
- Perform maintenance, backups, and recovery tasks.
- Implement security measures and manage user access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
- Create and manage active and passive database modes for high availability.
- Monitor and fine-tune database performance.
- Manage data storage and retrieval.
- Stay updated on technologies and recommend upgrades.
- Maintain documentation and standards. Ensure data protection compliance.
- Write and optimize complex queries.
- Implement automation for routine tasks.
- Collaborate on database integration projects.
- Oversee updates and patching. Conduct training sessions
- Enforce data retention policies.
