Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a highly competent Database Administrator to join AkijBashir Group’s IT team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Group databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and data security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize database structures.
• Perform maintenance, backups, and recovery tasks.
• Implement security measures and manage user access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
• Create and manage active and passive database modes for high availability.
• Monitor and fine-tune database performance.
• Manage data storage and retrieval.
• Stay updated on technologies and recommend upgrades.
• Maintain documentation and standards. Ensure data protection compliance.
• Write and optimize complex queries.
• Implement automation for routine tasks.
• Collaborate on database integration projects.
• Oversee updates and patching. Conduct training sessions
• Enforce data retention policies.
