Job Requirements:

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
Experience in PSP is a plus.
Solid scripting skills, particularly in Bash.
Documentation, presentation, organization and prioritization skills.
OEM certification is preferred.
Good team player with willingness to participate and help others.
Ability to adapt to new responsibilities with ownership of the work.

Proficiency in:

RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
PostgreSQL replication and utilities (e.g., BARMAN, pg_ctl, psql)
Oracle Data Guard and RMAN
MS SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
Performance analysis, database and SQL tuning
Database activity monitoring and security controls
Network, storage, and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary:

ABG Technologies Limited (ABGTL), a growing fintech company, is looking for a skilled Database Administrator to manage and optimize our database systems ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and administer database systems.
Monitor daily database performance, conduct troubleshooting, error diagnosis, and log analysis.
Ensure database uptime, backup & recovery, high availability (Oracle Data Guard, MS SQL Always On), replication (PostgreSQL), and disaster recovery readiness.
Implement database security hardening to protect data integrity and control access.
Perform database development, scripts, tuning and solutions automation.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, prepare reports, SLAs, and AMCs.
Coordinate and communicate with global and local vendors/partners.
Having 24/7 support mindset for operations and maintenance activities.
Strong communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Participate actively in team collaboration and contribute to knowledge sharing.
