Requirements

Education

Min bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with min CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0. Advanced degrees in related fields are often preferred.
Certification, training on database administration, management, and security protocols for various database management systems (such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Oracle Database Certified Professional (OCP), are highly appreciated and required.

At least 8 years of experience in Database Support as a DBA in a large corporate
In addition, at least 2 years of experience interfacing and collaborating with users, developers and teammates
Experience in the capital market (DSE, CSE) as well as Brokerage House, BANK is preferred
Experience in Application Software integration with SQL database
Proven work experience with MS SQL as a Database Administrator
Experience in Windows 2019/2022 with AD/DNS/Web Server & Linux OS installation, configuration and maintenance/troubleshooting
Expertise in database cluster/mirror configuration and management with best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Proficiency in data backup & recovery, security & integrity in MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL.
Microsoft Certified Professional, DBA – MS SQL Certification
Additional expertise in different database like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongodb etc.
Knowledge of IT security best practices and database reporting tools
Knowledge in LAN/WAN and Network security best practices
Report Design, development and deployment using reputed tools
Excellent attention to Problem-solving and critical thinking
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms

Our extensive knowledge of IT Strategic Consulting, Service Design, Software Development, Outsourcing, and Managed IT Services enables us to oversee projects from inception to completion and beyond. The majority of the partner brokerages, on the other hand, are bank subsidiaries.XFL is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, enthusiastic individual for the following position in the technology division:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install and configure and maintain the SQL database servers with clustering/mirroring, Load balancer, WAF in BareMetal server as well as virtual/cloud environment.
Ensure database design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices with strict security requirements
Set and maintain database standards and manage database access policy, security, roles, and profiles.
Perform database maintenance, server resources management and troubleshooting in such a manner that database systems meet its business and performance requirements.
Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation with defined and implemented database layout for future reference
Work closely with software vendor to support database administration, installations, upgrades, patches, space management including performance, tuning and capacity planning
Ensure that all databases’ environments are deployed, maintained and managed via proactive monitoring
performance tuning of database and capacity planning for upcoming requirements
Develop processes for optimizing database performance and security.
Problem detection, identification prevention and correction
Backup and restore databases to/from backup media and recovery process, including disaster recovery of database and application.
Critical data and content migration will also be a significant part of the job
Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies considering database growth, data purging/archiving
Provides day-to-day stable, and optimally designed, tested and implemented database environment that allows continued growth of business partners
Provide 7×24 support of the database maintenance to ensure committed uptime
