Qualification & Other Competencies:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or Master’s (preferably in Finance, Economics, or Business) from any UGC-approved local or reputed foreign university;
- Candidates with Post-Graduate degrees, CFA, FRM, or Treasury-related professional certification will get preference;
- Minimum 12 years of experience in banking, preferably with progressive responsibilities in treasury operations (Front Office, Mid Office, or Back Office);
- Strong understanding of FX dealing, government securities investment, money market operations, offshore funding, and Islamic treasury instruments;
- Familiarity with ALM policies, regulatory reporting, and Bangladesh Bank guidelines;
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Bloomberg/Reuters platforms, and treasury management systems;
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills with a strategic outlook.
Knowledge:
Treasury operations including FX dealing, money market, and liquidity management; Bond and Sukuk, primary dealership operations; Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Bangladesh Bank treasury regulations; Offshore Banking Operations and Islamic treasury products; Treasury-related risk assessment, hedging tools, and fund placement strategies.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strategic leadership and decision-making ability; High level of integrity and regulatory awareness; Team management and cross-functional collaboration; Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Context
- Support the Head of Treasury in overseeing the Bank’s entire treasury operations, including liquidity and fund management, FX dealing, and investment in shariah compliant securities;
- Manage day-to-day treasury functions while ensuring Shariah compliance, alignment with regulatory requirements, and risk-adjusted profitability;
- Assist in leading the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) by providing timely analysis and strategic input on market movements, liquidity positions, and funding requirements;
- Coordinate closely with the Front, Mid, and Back Office treasury operations for efficient execution and compliance;
- Provide strategic input for offshore banking operations, Islamic treasury products, and money market instruments in line with market trends and investment strategy;
- Develop and mentor team members to ensure operational efficiency and succession readiness;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies including Bangladesh Bank on treasury and investment-related matters;
- Ensure effective communication with subsidiaries to leverage treasury services and optimize group-wide liquidity and funding.
