Responsibilities & Context

Inventory Planning & Management:

  • Execute company’s material management strategy with the aim to control costs within budgetary limits, generate savings, rationalize inventory and maximize available working capital.
  • Ensure consciousness to situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock causing financial loss.
  • Maintain uninterrupted flow and coordinate with the procurement/ purchase department regularly by raising timely alerts on raw material available on the floor.
  • Overseeing the effective distribution of store materials as per the requisition.
  • Regular follow ups with the materials in house with complete planning.
  • Carrying out monthly audit of store to ensure goods/ dead stock is cleared regularly.
  • Develop reports on procurement and usage of material by forecasting the future material requirements.
  • Accountable for coordinating and planning the production control, inventory management, scheduling and material planning.
  • Manage & track the inventory levels for finished goods, raw materials and consumables.
  • Maintain inventory as required by the sales and operations planning process, customer requirements, production schedules and corporate inventory management objectives.
  • Maintain reorder levels by raising requisition with purchase after approval.

Storage Management:

  • Issue raw material and packing material to be used for daily production.
  • Daily updating of ERP and Tally regarding billing and records.
  • Supervise the stock of material by conducting verification as per the count in store ledgers and physical verification at the end of every quarter.
  • Managing the stock labels and taking decisions on the stock inventory.
  • Monitor in-house stock levels and carry out periodic stock inspection.
  • Handle issues like challans and gate pass discrepancies.
  • Responsible for waste management, scrap management & physical stock verification.
  • Review the current inventory positions for the raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods and maintain monthly reports such as Material Receipt Report, Material issued, closing stock of raw material, excess raw material, order closing report etc.
  • Maintaining housekeeping of raw material & implementing 5S.

Data Preparation and Management:

  • Responsible for compiling and analyzing data for management reviews.
  • Ensure all transactions are being recorded in the ERP system on day to day basis.
  • Generating bills for the orders delivered, verifying and sending to finance for payments.
  • Follow-up at monthly closing report, stock balance and closing balance in ERP.
