Masters in any discipline. Preferred BBA/MBA in HRM.

  • At least 5 years practical experience especially in MS Rod, MS Billet, Square Bar, Sectional Items of Steel and Re-rolling Mills working with factory administration
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in MS Rod production, MS billet production, square bar production, sectional item production, and induction furnaces of steel & re-rolling mills or MS rod factories.
  • Understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to factory operations in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities & Context

Salam Steel Concast Re-Rolling Mills Madanpur Unit Ltd (SCRM) a sister concern of Salam Group of Industries, the leading manufacturer of MS rebar & sectional items in the country and also produces eco-friendly auto bricks and blocks, is looking for a “Deputy Manager / Manager – Admin (Factory)”.

  • Managing overall administrative functions within the factory premises.
  • Supervising administrative staff and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • To handle production, logistics, security, delivery, labor contractors, and suppliers as an individual administration.
  • Specially monitor Rod production, Billet production, Sectional items production and the induction furnace process.
  • Implementing and overseeing systems for recording employee attendance.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of attendance records.
  • Managing systems or processes for recording in-time and out-time of employees.
  • Addressing any issues related to absenteeism or unauthorized absence.
  • Monitoring employee activities and ensuring adherence to work schedules.
  • Verifying and approving timesheets or attendance logs.
  • Monitoring and approving overtime hours as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzing trends in overtime and recommending measures to minimize excessive overtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to attendance, overtime, and employee monitoring.
  • Implementing and monitoring security measures to safeguard company assets, employees, and visitors.
  • Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to factory operations.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate records and documentation related to administration, safety, and compliance.
  • Controlling costs and expenditures within approved budgets.
  • Collaborating with production managers to ensure administrative support aligns with production schedules and requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements in administrative functions.
  • Implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitating effective communication and coordination among different teams within the factory.
  • To give guidelines to the In-charge, Foreman, Production supervisor, Metallurgical Engineer or Melter.
  • Any other task as and when required by management.
