  • Demonstrated adaptability to operate effectively in diverse geographic and cultural contexts, addressing evolving market priorities and challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and deliver impactful capacity pitches and negotiations.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective employer engagement strategies and action plans within the assigned zone to facilitate sustainable employment opportunities for program participants. The role focuses on building partnerships with local public and private stakeholders across diverse industries, identifying emerging market demands, and aligning skill development initiatives with these needs. Additionally, the position aims to enhance job placement outcomes through collaboration, supervision of the employment team, and organization of impactful events while ensuring streamlined processes and comprehensive reporting to support program goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Programme Manager by creating and implementing an employer engagement strategy and action plan tailored to the assigned zone.
  • Lead sourcing of employment opportunities by proactively engaging with local public and private stakeholders across diverse industries (e.g., RMG, agro, light engineering, manufacturing, caregiving, hospitality, tourism, retail, IT, freelancing).
  • Foster partnerships by building strong relationships to secure job placements for program participants and identify emerging skill demands for curriculum enhancement.
  • Develop and execute employment and engagement activity plans and targets for various areas within the zone, ensuring timely achievement of set goals.
  • Create skills and job requirement calendars by collaborating effectively with employer organizations to align initiatives with market demands.
  • Support operations and activation teams by aligning learner profiles with local market skill requirements for BRAC Institute of Skills Development (BISD) and Career Hub teams.
  • Prepare detailed reports and plans (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly) by systematically documenting employer engagement and partnership activities.
  • Collaborate with SDP’s divisional operations and employment teams to streamline job linkage and placement processes within the zone.
  • Equip team members by developing capacity pitches, preparing engagement calendars, and organizing impactful stakeholder events.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
