Education

Additional Requirements

  • Understanding of textile and hosiery production processes and their utility requirements.
  • Ability to manage and optimize energy consumption in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing maintenance programs for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Monitor the daily operations of chiller, compressor, and boiler plants to ensure uninterrupted utility supply for production processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for utility system failures, minimizing production downtime.
  • Execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all utility equipment, aligning with production schedules.
  • Coordinate equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Track and analyze equipment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance activities.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of energy like – power, air, steam, and water.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption without compromising production quality or output.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing utility team, providing necessary training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the utility department.
  • Prepare and manage the utility department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards within the factory.
  • Prepare regular reports on utility system performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any utility-related issues impacting production.
