Requirements

Education

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science or analytics, Master of Education (M.Ed), Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics
  • Master’s degree in Data Science or analytics/Education/Statistics/Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 5 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 35 years
  • At least 5 years of experience in MEAL, preferably in education or humanitarian projects.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Experience in data analysis, visualization, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with refugee contexts and accountability standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Power BI), and databases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive MEAL framework and tools tailored to the project.
  • Monthly narrative reports and field monitoring summaries.
  • Case studies, lessons learned reports, and feedback analysis.

Responsibilities & Context

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of Deputy Manager-MEAL for implementing ‘Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project’ funded by UNHCR, located at Cox’s Bazar District.

Objectives of the Role:

  • To ensure the implementation of a comprehensive MEAL system that meets project requirements and donor expectations.·
  • To facilitate the documentation of lessons learned and success stories to inform decision-making and improve project outcomes.·
  • To provide technical and managerial oversight to the IM Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement MEAL frameworks, tools, and methodologies aligning with the Pearson Edexcel Curriculum.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and impact.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Implement mechanisms to ensure accountability to beneficiaries, including feedback systems.
  • Organize learning sessions and workshops to share findings and recommendations.
  • Facilitate the development of case studies, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Prepare monthly narrative reports summarizing project achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Review and validate reports generated by the IM Officer, including 5W and activity information reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of donor and internal reports with accurate and relevant data.
  • Supervise the IM officer by providing capacity-building and technical guidance.

Safegurding and PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
