Responsibilities & Context

  • The primary purpose of this role is to strategically plan and execute trade marketing activities to enhance customer engagement and drive sales growth. This involves developing and implementing promotional strategies, optimizing, and ensuring effective segmented execution processes. The role requires close collaboration with the sales team and other marketing areas to ensure alignment and fulfilment of marketing guidelines. The ultimate goal is to create a robust trade marketing framework that meets customer needs and supports the organization’s sales objectives

BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Responsible for planning and driving the implementation of all Trade Marketing-related activities, such as the placement of activation elements, promotional activities.
  • Preparing and monitoring the trade marketing plan, annual product budget, media budget, promotional budget, and activation plan.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing, especially within the FMCG sector.
  • Research and analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Track the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns using appropriate metrics and report findings to the team.
  • Identify potential customers based on demographics and psychographics, understanding their lifestyle choices, values, and interests.
  • Produce necessary reports and charts to communicate data trends with non-specialized personnel, providing ac- tionable insights.
  • Negotiate and maintain liaison with third-party marketing agencies to leverage their expertise and resources effec- tively.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop brochures, ads, packaging, or other promotional materials that align with brand identity and marketing objectives.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in numerical analysis, at ease with data-driven insights, skilled in interpreting metrics, and adept at processing numerical data using Excel.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to quickly adapt to different situations depending on requirements.
  • Show initiative and perseverance.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills.
