Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Hotel, Resort

Additional Requirements

  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with 5 to 7 years of experience in the same position.
  • Experience in opening, managing, or re-positioning a hotel with a clear track record.
  • Experience in financial accounting, personnel supervision, and problem resolution is an added advantage.
  • Excellent computer system skills.

Responsibilities & Context

1. Assist the Senior General Manager in his day-to-day operations.

2. Assign duties to HODs and observers’ performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.

3. Provides training to staff and HOD’s.

4. Acts as the hotel’s public relations director and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community, and trade associations.

5. Receives and resolves or assists the Senior General Manager in resolving guest complaints and service recovery process.

6. Assisting the Senior General Manager during Morning meetings or conducting the morning HOD meetings in the absence of the Senior General Manager.

7. Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.

8. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections.

9. Ensures property, grounds, physical plant, and work areas are maintained to standard.

10. Builds strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff, HOD, and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event needs.

11. Monitor maintenance progress and FF&E (Furniture, Furnishings, and Equipment) conditions and provide status reports to the Senior General Manager.

12. Audits on par stock in all areas to ensure all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.

13. Performs sudden audits on guest rooms and other operating areas.

14. Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.

15. Assistant the Senior General Manager in all aspects of business planning.

16. Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any guest or employee emergencies.

17. Corporate client handling and taking part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.

All Other duties as assigned by the Senior General Manager or Management.
