• B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering from any reputed University with at least 10 years working experience in a Spinning Mills.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context

Ahmed Group, a reputed leading figure in the textile industry of Bangladesh is looking for experienced professional for the position of DGM/AGM (Utility) for an export oriented spinning mill.

Job Responsibilities

• Should have sound knowledge & experience in factory Powerhouse/Generator operation, maintenance & management.
• Should have basic knowledge on Generators, Transformers, Switch-Gear, Motors, Compressors, Inverter, Pump, Hydraulic, Conveyor, Generator Jacket water check etc.
• Plan & schedule for monthly maintenance.
• Handle ongoing operation of Power & Energy Division.
• Co-operate to relevant department for the better productivity of the power.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of gas generator units to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and strategies to minimize downtime and enhance the reliability of gas generator systems.
• Lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers in executing maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and overhauls of gas generators.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables necessary for gas generator maintenance.
• Monitor key performance indicators of gas generator systems, analyze data, and implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all gas generator-related activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance shutdowns, commissioning of new equipment, and integration of gas generator systems with the utility network.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and forecasts related to gas generator operations and maintenance activities.
• Any other task assigned by the management.
