Responsibilities & Context

Context:

The Group Head of HR will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the business objectives of the organization. This role involves leading a range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, and compliance. The Group Head of HR will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with corporate goals and foster a positive workplace culture across all business units.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic:

Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals and support company growth.

Partner with leadership to address human capital needs, driving initiatives that promote culture transformation, organizational effectiveness, and change management.

Implement global HR practices ensuring consistency while respecting local regulations and cultures.

Talent Management:

Lead talent acquisition strategies and retention programs to build a strong workforce.

Maintain performance management systems to align employee goals with business objectives.

Oversee succession planning and career development to ensure a robust leadership pipeline.

Learning and Development:

Design and implement programs that foster employee growth, including leadership training and mentorship opportunities.

Regularly assess training programs, aligning them with feedback, performance data, and business needs.

Operational Excellence:

Ensure compliance with legal requirements by updating HR policies and procedures.

Utilize HR analytics to measure effectiveness and inform decisions.

Oversee HR budget and vendor relationships, including recruitment and benefits administration.

Employee and Industrial Relations:

Develop policies that encourage positive employee relations and address grievances effectively.

Maintain collaborative relationships with union representatives and ensure labor law compliance.

Compensation and Benefits:

Manage pay structure, benefits programs, and annual salary reviews based on market data.

Ensure alignment with financial standards and maintain budget oversight.

Employee Engagement and Culture:

Execute engagement initiatives to promote a positive, inclusive culture.

Drive diversity and inclusion efforts, advising management on equitable practices.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

Standardize HR processes and enforce compliance across corporate and factory locations. Track and report HR metrics, providing insights for executive leadership.

Risk Management:

Mitigate legal risks through adherence to labor laws and regulatory compliance.

Oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Strategic Projects:

Implement HR technology solutions to improve efficiency and support restructuring efforts.

Act as a central contact for HR-related issues, facilitating communication with all stakeholders.

Diversity and Inclusion:

Promote policies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in hiring and training.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Use analytics to inform HR strategies, tracking key metrics such as turnover and productivity.

Change Management:

Lead change initiatives, particularly during expansion, restructuring, or shifts in operations.

Support employees through transitions, ensuring alignment with new goals.

Reporting and Community Engagement:

Provide clear, actionable reports and engage with CSR initiatives to foster community involvement.
