Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Department or any discipline, Business Administration from Reputed University.
  • MBA degree preferred. PGD in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Compliance or Industrial Management will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 12 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Garments, Textile, Spinning

  • Must have knowledge on staffing, manpower budgeting, hiring, training & training development, compensation.
  • Knowledge on Labor law, ILO, local rules & regulations & legal compliance/code of conduct practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Bangla & English.
  • Record keeping attributes – policy, procedure & SOP, Audit report & Cap, Legal documents etc.
  • Self-driven and innovative attitude and have problem solving and decision making skills with capability to work in teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

  • The General Manager – HR, Admin & Compliance for the Spinning Division is responsible for leading the human resources, administrative functions, and compliance initiatives within the division. This senior leadership role requires strategic planning, execution, and management of HR policies, practices, and compliance standards to ensure a productive, legally compliant, and employee-friendly work environment. Candidates have experience in Spinning Division will get extra privileges.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to ensure the division attracts and retains the best talent.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes to enhance employee performance and development.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration to ensure competitive and fair remuneration practices.
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the administrative department to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Manage facilities and office services to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Oversee the management of company assets and ensure their proper use and maintenance.
  • Ensure the division complies with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential compliance issues.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Full filling the roles & regulation and taking overall responsibility of factory admin, HR & Compliance.
  • looking after Transport & fuel, Utility management (Gas WASA,T&T), Supply chain Security management, Logistics support, Sub contract deed & agreement, Trespassing Preventive & Action handle, Ensure Industrial Safety & Security, Industrial Housekeeping, Arrange meeting Seminar & workshop, Dealing with local Administration, Company’s license / Documents Maintain, Liaison with government and non-government agencies, Protocol, Traveling, Office decorum, Office administration, Companies asset and Documents maintain, Suppliers dealing, Procurement & store inventory. Make communication with BGMEA, Labor code, Audit firm, Govt Audit (License & certificate authority)
  • Supervision of (Admin, Personnel & Security).Surveying new projects & submit proposal for safety issues to the management.
  • Coordinate & arrange for meeting with higher management.
  • Coordinating with the ACCORD & ALLIANCE audits & implementing pre/post audit’s requirement of all kind of safety issues.
  • According to the ILO, Bangladesh laws, rules & regulation & company policy procedure full fill the compliance standard. Full fill the Buyer Code of conduct (COC) and legal compliance issues, conduct the internal compliance audit.
  • Any other task assign by the Management time to time.
