Responsibilities & Context
We are one of the largest 100% export oriented Knit Garments Manufacturer, looking for a dynamic & highly potential professional as a Deputy General Manager in the field of HR, Admin & Compliance in Garments Industry.
Job Location will be Sreerampur, Kalampur, Dhamrai, Dhaka.
- Perform overall HR, Admin & Compliance related functions of the Factory.
- Have to prepare and update the assessment of Labor law requirements from a Compliance point of view.
- Ensure the factory’ working environments are in accordance with social compliance standards, RSC, BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, OHSAS, Social, Ethical, SCS, C-TPAT audit, etc. Accord Alliance and QMS audit as per buyer / customer standards and requirements Correspond with buyers, Auditors, and various compliance monitoring agencies as needed.
- To take corrective action and monitor all corrective measures as advised by the management / buyer / compliance auditors.
- The position also oversees compliance strategies across all units, ensuring adherence to social, ethical, environmental, and safety standards required by buyers and regulatory bodies. The role involves designing and implementing HR analytics and KPIs to measure employee performance, turnover, and engagement; driving a performance-based, ethical, and inclusive work culture; acting as the key liaison with BGMEA, Fire Service, Labor Department, Civil Defense Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, Local Influences and buyers’ representatives Communicate with collaborating closely with Head Office departments on strategic administrative, production, and security matters; leading crisis response plans for HR-related risks such as labor unrest or safety violations; and conducting root cause analysis on grievances and suggesting preventive strategies.
- Have to be capable of handling Disciplinary & Grievance issues, will address employee relation issues, especially grievances and disciplinary procedures as per law.
- Have to maintain and revise policies and procedures for the Compliance Program and run the day-to-day operations.Should be capable of maintaining a 100% compliant factory.
- Liaison with Fire & Civil Defense, BGMEA, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, etc.
- Able to develop strategic policy & procedures in aspect of Admin & HR issues.
- Have to ensure required compliance in the factory premises implemented as per buyer code of conduct. Have to ensure production and delivery as per factory plan.
- Resolve employee’s grievance, stress in a proactive manner. Communicate with the concerns for their needs in respect of administration and security. Have to ensure factory safety and security with utmost professionalism.· Follow-up Attendance, Salary Administration, Leave Management & Compensation Benefit & incentive schemes, Management System for all workers, staffs and management personnel in the factory.
- Follow up employee/labor relation & legal affairs work Preparation / Issue office note, memo, office order & circular in respect of HR issues Disciplinary action & conduct departmental inquiry & grievance.
- Follow up expenditures like staff & workers salary & wages, overtime & night allowance, incentives, education allowance, Tiffin bill, Final settlement bill etc.
- To improve workers and management relationship, communication with workers & staffs, attend participation committee meeting and safeguard the facility against labor unrest and conflict.
- Update all license, certificates & Follow up hygienic issues
