Position: Deputy General Manager – Industrial Engineering & Planning

Job Summary: We are seeking a results-driven professional to lead Industrial Engineering (IE) and Production Planning, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and timely execution of orders. The DGM – IE & Planning will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an effective monthly and advance production plan in coordination with Marketing, Merchandising, Production, and Management.
• Monitor production capacity and ensure timely shipments through proactive follow-ups
• Oversee order status, conduct regular planning meetings, and allocate production lines effectively.
• Optimize capacity planning to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
• Continuously track production progress, identify bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions for smooth operations.
• Build strong relationships with Merchandising, Production (Store, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Washing), and other departments to ensure seamless workflow.
• Manage production planning staff and schedule raw materials to meet production timelines.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve efficiency, set standard production rates, and streamline operations.
• Evaluate staff performance, assess operator skills, enforce floor discipline, and identify training needs for career development.
• Lead and oversee the Industrial Engineering (IE) department’s activities.
• Calculate cost-effective Standard Minute Value (SMV) for garment costing.
• Engage in sample development to ensure production-friendly designs.
• Set KPIs, monitor production team performance, and drive efficiency.
• Simplify manufacturing processes to maximize productivity.
• Implement smart methods, tools, and gadgets to reduce handling time and labor dependency.
• Ensure optimal resource utilization and minimize production delays.
• Oversee pre-production planning to ensure smooth back-to-back feeding without compromising quality.
• Train and motivate workers to achieve production targets efficiently.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.
