Requirements

Education

• BSc or Diploma Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Trading or Export/Import, Shipyard

Additional Requirements

• Age 35 to 45 years

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in similar field.
• Strong understanding of vessel systems, dry-docking processes, and marine equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
• Familiarity with HSE protocols and dockyard safety regulations.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context

• Supervise dockyard activities, including vessel maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with marine engineers, technicians, and contractors for timely completion of work.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and machinery are properly maintained and operational.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with marine and dockyard regulations.
• Prepare daily work schedules, allocate manpower, and monitor job progress.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of dockyard operations, inventory, and maintenance logs.
• Oversee and manage repair and maintenance projects.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate subordinates
• Conduct and record site inspections
• Ensure site personnel have relevant training
• Track and document daily work production
• Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors
• Oversee and manage boat and barge repair projects from start to finish
• Ensure that work is completed on time and within budget
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with approved methods
• Re-engineering: Maintaining and repairing engines, replacing electro-mechanical equipment, and optimizing weight and fuel consumption.
• CNC operations: Monitoring and supervising CNC machines, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting malfunctions
• Project management: Organizing the shipyard, implementing business decisions, and ensuring on-time delivery
• Quality control: Ensuring quality of purchased materials and finished products
• Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations
• Documentation: Keeping records and maintaining documentation of machine specifications and programming notes
