Job Context:

Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries is going to establish a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery having a production capacity of 1.5 million MT per annum. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets that will meet the uprising demand in the local market and bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. We are encouraging competent and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Document Control Engineer, SMS/Rolling Plant. The position will be responsible for managing the document management, collaboration & communication with the vendors or suppliers, and will report to the plant head.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, manage, and maintain a comprehensive document control system for SMS/Rolling Plant of Meghna Re-Rolling & Steel Mills Limited.

  • Manage technical and non-technical documentation including process plans, drawings, quality manuals, and safety procedures.

  • Ensure that all document management practices comply with relevant standards.

  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of engineering documents and reports.

  • Implement and maintain document control procedures to receive, track, and distribute documents, ensuring accuracy and traceability.

  • Develop and enforce protocols for document storage, naming conventions, and version control.

  • Monitor document submission schedules and deadlines, and follow up with departments to ensure timely submission.

  • Act as the central point of contact for all document-related queries and issues.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure document consistency and alignment with plant processes.

  • Manage and maintain the plant’s electronic document management system (EDMS) for efficient document tracking, retrieval, and sharing.

  • Ensure proper backup and security measures are in place for all critical documentation.

  • Train staff and colleagues on the usage of EDMS and document control procedures.

  • Prepare regular reports on document control status, and submit those to the supervisor.
