Responsibilities & Context
Job Location: Dhaka with frequent field visits to Pabna.
Duration: One year and extension depends on the performance and availability of fund.
Responsibilities:
BRED is a local NGO based in Pabna with a liaison office in Dhaka. The organization works with a vision of empowering every person to lead a quality life with equal rights in a healthy environment, considering climate change issues affecting children, youth, women, and men. Currently, BRED is implementing a project funded by the Global Fund for Children to empower the community through the SALT (Support, Appreciate, Learn, and Transform) approach in Bera Upazila of Pabna. This project has initiated a community-based approach to engage the community in self-managed development by mobilizing and identifying their potential to drive new development initiatives.
Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Executive Director/Director of Programs and the direct supervision of the Strategic and Partnership Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of this project. The Documentation Officer will be tasked with a defined set of activities and will also support the strategic direction of the organization. The primary responsibility is to provide high-quality documentation support for this project.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the following tasks:
- The Documentation Officer will plan and implement project activities with the support of facilitators at the field level.
- Provide ideas and knowledge to mobilize the community in establishing a self-driven community development strategy.
- Conduct periodic field visits and demonstrate to facilitators how to interact with the community, identify their potential, and document these findings.
- Regularly track progress and update information on the online GFC platform and Google Drive. Develop stories, case studies, and best practice documentation.
- Attend donor meetings, present and update on progress, highlight challenges, and propose ways forward. Implement guidance received from donors and office executives.
- Participate in research work conducted by project officials.
- Ensure high-quality documentation support for the program.
- Develop internal notes and minutes from meetings and circulate them among team members. Provide input during monthly review and planning meetings.
- Collect success stories and other positive achievements for sharing.
- Ensure the correct use of reporting guidelines and requirements for all reports and documents.
- Uphold the values of Evidence Action.
- Develop weekly and monthly activity plans and submit a Monthly Progress Report.
- Support the consultant or focal person in publishing reports and publications.
- Assist in preparing IEC materials and publications.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the focal person and BRED authority.
- Additionally, support other program activities under the active guidance of the Project Lead when assigned.
Compensation & Other Benefits
- Facilities will be provided as per organization & Project Policy after confirmation. Two days’ weekend (Friday & Saturday).
