Overview:

Rainbow Paints, a fast-growing concern of RFL Group, is inviting applications for the position of Dy. Manager/ Manager – Research & Development (R&D). This role is critical to leading innovation, improving product quality, and developing new formulations that align with market needs and sustainability goals. The selected candidate will work at our state-of-the-art facility, contributing to our mission of delivering high-performance, eco-friendly, and cost-effective coating solutions. We offer a culture that values creativity, scientific excellence, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Business Head in the development and modification of paint formulations to meet product performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead initiatives for innovation in decorative, industrial, and protective coatings by identifying new raw materials, technologies, and trends.
  • Conduct performance testing of raw materials and finished products; document results and ensure data integrity.
  • Drive cost optimization through formulation efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with QC, Production, and Marketing teams to resolve product issues, support product launches, and ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including formulation sheets, test protocols, and product specifications.
  • Ensure lab activities are aligned with ISO 9001, environmental standards, and internal company policies.
  • Monitor competitor products and market trends to support product positioning and development roadmap.
  • Manage relationships with raw material suppliers and external R & D partners for joint development projects.
  • Guide junior chemists and technicians to foster a learning-driven and innovative team environment.
