Requirements

Education

  • Master of Social Science (MSS) in Economics

Experience

    • At least 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): School
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

  • Age At most 45 years

Must-Haves:

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cambridge IGCSE Economics (0455)
    • Cambridge International AS & A Level Economics (9708)
    • IB Diploma Programme Economics
  • Strong understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and development economics
  • Ability to foster analytical thinking, data interpretation, and evaluation skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with Cambridge and IB assessment methodologies
  • Ability to deliver inquiry-based and student-centered learning experiences
  • Commitment to relocate to Narsingdi and serve at least two years

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience preparing students for Cambridge and IB examinations
  • Experience supervising Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE)
  • Strong understanding of current global economic issues and policy analysis
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Ability to contribute to economics clubs, entrepreneurship programmes, and academic competitions

Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons across Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A Level, and IB DP
  • Develop students` understanding of economic theories, concepts, and real-world applications
  • Foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and evidence-based decision-making
  • Prepare students for Cambridge and IB assessments, including coursework and Internal Assessments where applicable
  • Integrate current economic events and global perspectives into classroom learning
  • Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students in research projects, Internal Assessments, and Extended Essays
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student achievement
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Contribute to academic enrichment programmes and extracurricular activities
