Requirements

Education

  • B.Sc. or Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)

Experience

    • 4 to 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Group of Companies, Textile, Tiles/Ceramic

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 35 years
  • Only Male
  • Knowledge of PLC, VFD, MCC, motor control, and industrial automation.
  • Experienced in Electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of Preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
  • Familiar with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities & Context

Mir Ceramic Ltd, a leading tile manufacturer in Bangladesh, seeks Electrical Engineers for its maintenance team to ensures uninterrupted power and equipment operation. They oversee heavy-duty manufacturing machinery, manage preventive maintenance and resolve automation faults. The role minimizes downtime and ensures the plant meets strict safety compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Direct preventive and corrective maintenance for heavy electrical equipment, including motors, drives, transformers, and switchgears.
  • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), sensor networks, automated equipment and devices that commonly used in tile manufacturing company.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure minimum downtime of plant machinery.
  • Maintain electrical panels, PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control systems.
  • Monitor and maintain LT/HT electrical systems, generators, and distribution networks.
  • Ensure proper calibration and functionality of weighing and batching control systems.

 

Plant Operations Support

  • Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure smooth plant operation.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns and take immediate corrective actions.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment. 

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards and risks.
  • Implement Lock out-Tag out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Participate in safety drills, audits, and risk assessments.

 

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and spare parts consumption.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
  • Monitor critical spare parts inventory and raise requisitions when required.
  • Maintain electrical drawings, manuals, and maintenance records.

 Energy Management

  • Monitor power consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of generators and electrical equipment.
  • Analyze electrical performance data and propose cost-reduction measures.
