Responsibilities & Context

Responsibilities & Context

• Technical Understanding & Implementation
• Interpret and execute electrical work as per architectural and structural drawings with a clear understanding of system layouts.
• Ensure accurate installation and operation of all electrical components, including traditional systems and solar panel integration.
• System Design & Power Distribution
• Assist in the design and planning of power distribution systems, including substations and grid connectivity, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Support the design, installation, and maintenance of solar panel systems, including inverters and energy storage where applicable.
• Electrical Operations & Oversight
• Take responsibility for all electrical activities across the project or facility.
• Supervise and lead the electrical team to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance of plant and machinery, including solar equipment, to minimize downtime.
• Address emergency/breakdown issues promptly and effectively, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Perform overhauling and repair of key electrical systems as needed.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure the safety of all machinery and electrical installations, including compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor and maintain safe operational practices for solar panel systems, particularly in high-voltage or rooftop installations.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports detailing preventive maintenance activities, breakdown incidents, overhauls, and system stoppages.
• Team Leadership & Management Support
• Function as a team leader, guiding junior technicians and coordinating with other departments.
• Undertake additional responsibilities or assignments as delegated by management.
